About Diabetes 360°

This country has been without a strategy to address one of the most significant health-care crisis of our time. With no dedicated support or action to tackle the diabetes epidemic, it means that, every 24 hours:

  • More than 20 Canadians die of diabetes-related complications
  • 480 more Canadians are diagnosed with this devastating disease
  • 14 Canadians have a lower limb amputation
  • And our health care system spends $75 million treating diabetes

Something MUST change. We need all candidates and parties to support Diabetes 360° - a newly developed framework created by and for the diabetes community. With this strategy:

  • 90% of Canadians will live in an environment that reduces their risk of diabetes
  • 90% of Canadians will be aware of their diabetes status
  • 90% of Canadians with diabetes will be engaged in preventing complications
  • 90% of all Canadians will achieve improved health outcomes

This will mean millions fewer cases of type 2 diabetes in Canada, big reductions in complications and significant savings in health care and benefits costs –  a win-win solution!

Help us raise awareness and join the thousands of Canadians who already support this strategy.
